Active Transport

The following two clips are ones we watched in class:
Clip 1 ~1.8 minutes long - Clip from class on endocytosis and exocytosis.

Clip 2 ~ 2 minutes long - Clip from class on how were arrived with eukaryotic cells (Endosymbiotic theory)

Below are the new clips:

Clip 3 ~ 1.5 minutes- Goes over the sodium/ potassium pump. When you see the 4 circles (three with have an P and one will have an A), this is the molecular version of ATP. The TP mean triphosphate or three phosphates.

Clip 4 ~ 30 seconds - definition and example of Active transport.

Clip 5  ~6.5 minutes - Nice review of passive and active transport, gives an example of active transport, and endocytosis and exocytosis.

Below is an extra info clip:

Clip 6 ~ 1.5 minutes - Shows and example of phagocytosis. Phagocytosis is the process by which certain living cells called phagocytes ingest or engulf other cells or particles. This is a type of endocytosis because you are taking something inside our cell.
